We had a blast at the workshop Wednesday with
Kellie Newsome. Thanks to Alabama Art Supply for hosting us. Thanks to Pam for baking us cookies. Thanks to Kellie for a lovely workshop and thanks to everyone who came!
We learned a lot of mixed media techniques; including making photo transfers using both binders and modeling compound. We experimented with concealing, revealing, sgraffito and over painting. We also got to play with some beautifully vivid Atelier paints (you can get them at Alabama Art Supply). We went back and forth, working on two pieces at once. We created sgrafitto bird nests and "Pretty Bird" photo transfers.
