BAEA Scholarship to attend AAEA Fall Conference

Last year Casey and I planned our first silent auction at Avondale Brewery and raised over $1,000!  

We are giving scholarships to 4 teachers in the area who have never attended the AAEA (Alabama Art Education Association) fall conference.  These scholarships will pay for full registration for 2 teachers and half registration for two more!  

This year's conference is going to be in Orange Beach, AL October 17-19.  You can learn more by visiting aaeaonline.org.

Back to School Get Together

We are planning a "BAEA Back to School Get Together" next Friday, August 16th at 5 pm.  We will meet at Naked Art Gallery in Forest Park in conjunction with Third Friday in Forest park and the art opening.  Then we will meet at Silvertron for dinner at 6:30, so if some people want to come to dinner and not the gallery or vice versa, those are the times.  This is going to be an informal gathering to look at some art, share stories from the summer and share new and fresh ideas for the upcoming school year!  Last year we had a blast!
